Pierian supports Primary Education and Health Care in rural Karnataka by partnering with Sikshana, a dependable, reliable and more importantly, a transparent Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) which has adopted about 135 primary Government schools in and around Kanakapura Taluk.

Sikshana’s work complements the Government’s initiatives in the area of Primary education. Sikshana adopts a school for five years, working closely with the teachers and the children, assisting them in identifying and addressing some of the essential gaps. These range from upgrading teaching skills, hygiene to infrastructure.

In addition to funding the Sikshana programme, the Pierian community is actively involved with each of the sponsored schools throughout the year, by volunteering for activities that help motivate both teacher and child.
