Guru is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He began his career with Motorola in 1999 as the Country Head of Compliance and later became the Head of Motorola’s Shared Services in India. During his tenure, he managed Direct and Indirect Taxes for two legal entities across five Business Units and played a key role in establishing the Transfer Pricing structure when TP regulations were introduced under the 2002 Finance Act.

In 2002, after leaving Motorola, he co‑founded Pierian Services and has since been integral to expanding the company beyond Finance & Accounting into Technology, Business Analytics, Process Re‑definition, and Strategic Advisory. Over the past 21 years, he has led large, multi-specialty engagements and driven investments in diversified service offerings.

Today, the group operates in India, Singapore, the Middle East, and the USA, serving a strong global clientele with over 2,000 professionals. Guru was instrumental in building Pierian’s partnership with Baker Tilly, the world’s 9th largest accounting firm, leading to the creation of a joint venture in India.
