Mahesh Pillai is a seasoned transformation leader with over two decades of experience driving large-scale change across Finance, Shared Services, and enterprise technology — spanning ERP, BPM, Cloud, Mobility, and increasingly, Agentic AI — across Logistics, Manufacturing, FMCG, Technology, Telecom, Mining, Automotive, and Ecommerce & Retail.

A commerce graduate of Bangalore University, he holds advanced training in General Management, Corporate Accounting, Finance, and Business Laws through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Mahesh began his transformation journey at Motorola India, as part of the team that established its Global Shared Services Center — an experience that cemented his belief that process discipline and structural clarity are the engines of scalable growth.

At Pierian, he built a high-impact consulting practice across Process, Systems, and Strategy before serving as Project Champion for the end-to-end Shared Services transformation of a billion-dollar logistics conglomerate spanning India and the Middle East — consolidating Finance, Logistics, HR, Business Support, and IT from 14 group entities into a single delivery model.

As SVP – Strategy & Digital, he embedded structured technology thinking across client engagements and internal operations. He then took the helm as CEO – Ecommerce Businesses, building one of India’s most capable Ecommerce and Retail Shared Services and GCC operations from scratch — scaling to 700 professionals and making Pierian a serious force in a high-complexity vertical.

He now serves as Group COO — leading operations, business development, client governance, and organisational transformation — while driving Pierian’s Agentic AI agenda. Under his watch, Meridian, Pierian’s proprietary AI-native platform, has moved from concept to live client delivery — bringing together agentic AP invoice processing, multi-client close and governance, and Codex, a structured process intelligence and SOP engine — redefining what a modern Finance Operations partner looks like.
